Liebherr LTM Mobile Crane
A crane that drives itself to site, defined as much by road legality as by lifting capacity.
Overview
The LTM family consists of mobile cranes that travel public roads under their own power. The real constraint of the type is not lifting capacity but axle load: to be road legal, weight must be distributed within legal limits.
That is why the boom, counterweights and accessories are often transported separately and assembled on site. "Rigging" a crane demands as much planning as the lift itself.
Lifting capacity is never a single number. Boom angle and radius matter as much as the load's weight, so every crane works alongside a load chart showing how capacity falls with distance.
